Benjamin Szeto leads Savoir LLC, specialised in crafting in solutions, strategies and structures for a select clientele. Savoir is international. It has clients from Singapore, Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, and the United Kingdom.
In a career of 20 years, Benjamin has advised high net worth clients, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, listed entities and Fortune 500 corporations on a wide range of matters. He has successfully led numerous transactions, including acquisitions and divestments, spanning diverse jurisdictions. Clients tap his expertise to set up asset protection solutions, as well as seek his advice on real estate and investments to grow and structure their portfolios.
Benjamin holds a Master of Science (Real Estate) from the National University of Singapore, a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management (Distinction) and a Diploma in Financial Management from the ACCA. He was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law and to the Singapore Bar after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Birmingham. He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the worldwide association for professionals in asset protection, family inheritance and succession planning).
He is an author for LexisNexis, a leading publisher of legal materials, contributing to the Lexis Practical Guidance Singapore on Trusts etc.
Benjamin is a member of the Board of Advisors of BlueHill Asset Management, a private equity firm, and sits on the Panel of Mentors of the FundedHere crowdfunding platform. He has keen interest in the areas of governance and oversight, presently serving on the Council, and Fund Raising and Audit Committees of Nature Society (Singapore), a charity with IPC status. He sits on the Management Committee and serves as Honourary Treasurer of the Old Victorians’ Association. He is a member of Mensa Singapore (the high IQ society) and is a founder of one of its special interest groups.
Media savvy, Benjamin has appeared on and been quoted in BBC News, 938 Live, The Straits Times and ChannelNews Asia, among others. In his free time, Benjamin participates in endurance sports and enjoys keeping fit. He has completed numerous marathons and is a Ironman Finisher.
